Felecity Willis was born and raised in California, she began her athletic career at the age of 10 ranging from baseball to soccer but she fell in love with basketball from day one. She attended Apple Valley High School where she went on to excel in sports, she earned four letters in basketball and two in softball. She was the Citrus Belt League MVP in 1995 & 1996 as well as League Champions in ’96.
Felecity then went on to play college basketball at the University of Arizona from 1996-2000. Her junior & senior years she was selected All Pac-10 1st Team and was also voted team captain. In 1998 & 1999 she also contributed to the softball program at the U of A.
She graduated with a degree in Communications in 2001 and continued with her playing career in Puerto Rico, Chicago and Sweden. She also tried out for the Los Angeles Sparks in 2000, the Charlotte Sting in 2001 and the Washington Mystics in 2003. Felecity also had the opportunity to play for the Puerto Rican National Team from 2001-2006.
Willis spent time as a high school basketball coach with stops at St. Gregory, Salpointe, Rincon and Tucson High. She also coached Club basketball with the Tucson Heat in 2014 and Lead Athletics in 2015. Since 2006 Willis has trained athletes of all ages and skill levels.
Felecity has been involved with the Blair Charity Group since 2001 and since 2013 has been the Clinic Director for the Arizona Basketball Academy. Felecity Willis is currently a basketball referee, where she works at the Div 1, Div 2 and Junior College level.
Briana Felix is a Tucson native, with a deep appreciation for the Old Pueblo and the great basketball history that helped foster her love of the game. She played for Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, AZ and at Avila University in Kansas City, MO. There she was a Spirit of Avila award winner her Freshmen and Sophomore year.
She would return to the University of Arizona, where she aided as a student manager for the University of Arizona women’s program in 2004. Her post college years she played with Tucson’s Semi-pro women’s team, Las Tucson Sol.
Felix is the Program Director for the Blair Charity Groups, Arizona Basketball Academy (ABA). She is also the Assistant Director for the Lute Olson Basketball Academy (LOBA). Coach Felix has also participated in the Adia Barnes Camps, the Christine Clark Camp, the “No Butts About It” Camp, and the Salpointe Catholic Basketball Camps.
Briana is a National Federation of State High School Association, Accredited Interscholastic Coach (AIC). She has previous coaching experience as Head coach for Salpointe Catholic High Schools Girls basketball program (2007-2014). Prior, she was the Freshmen coach and started the Briana Felix Lancer Girls Basketball Camp while there. Coach Felix also served as Head coach for the Women’s program at Tohono O’odham community college, and was an assistant coach for the school leading up to that.
Earlier experience includes; coaching various youth teams in Kansas City and Tucson, basketball staff at Camp Cedar in Casco, ME, Assistant Coach Camp Cedar boys 15U team, and operations manager for Sporting Chance 17U boys 2007 team.
She is very devoted to providing opportunities for youth to gain access to the sport and the benefits it brings both on and off the court.
